Sandra McDowell

With over two decades of credit union executive experience and advanced certifications in Leadership, Coaching, Neuroleadership, and HR, Sandra is a trusted authority on the application of neuroscience for leadership. As the CEO of eLeadership Academy, she helps credit unions build talent from within through online certificate and designation programs exclusively for credit union leaders. Sandra is a long-time partner of CCUA and WOCCU, associate faculty for two universities, and the author of Your Mother Was Right: 15 Unexpected Lessons About Leadership and the Brain. Earlier in her career, she received a CCUA national Young Leader award and a World Council WYCUP Young Leader award.

Jody Milburn

Dan Pontefract

Dan is the best-selling author of four books: LEAD. CARE. WIN. Curtis Wennberg
President & CEO, Credit Union Central of MB
Curtis Wennberg joined CUCM as the President and CEO in October 2021. He serves on the boards of directors for the Prairie Payments Joint Venture, CUCC, and on the Celero management committee.
Prior to joining CUCM, Curtis served as Chief Operating Officer of Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI), leading operations and customer service through a team of 1,200 people. In his five years at MPI, he oversaw significant changes which helped to provide lower insurance rates, increase customer satisfaction, and evolve the culture of the firm.
Curtis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Business Administration from the London Business School in England. He has held executive roles for businesses in credit cards, commercial finance, consumer finance, strategy, and marketing. In addition to senior level positions with RBC, HSBC, and GE Capital, Curtis was also the Chief Business Development Officer for the Canadian Depository for Securities as it underwent the acquisition by the Toronto Stock Exchange Group.
Through the State of the System address, Curtis will provide updates and insights regarding emerging issues and opportunities for Manitoba credit unions.
Jovette Morin
BCom (Hons), Senior Manager at MNP Consulting Services
Jovette Morin has over 20 years of organizational transformation experience and project management. From strategic planning, business process efficiency, capital projects and human resources management.
Fluently bilingual, Jovette has over 20 years of project management experience, as well as strategic planning, governance, credit union mergers, finance and human resources management. Jovette’s other consulting experience spans several functional areas including business planning, M&A project management specifically with credit unions, process improvement, credit union merger due diligence, financial planning and operational planning.
Jovette also accompanies and supports boards by providing governance training and policy implementation from newly formed organizations to more established ones that wished for a renewed strategic vision.
Jovette works with both private and public sector clients and has extensive experience of the credit union sector, spanning across several functional areas. Her credit union experience comes from having worked in the industry for over 15 years at a well-established credit union and through her years as a consultant for credit union clients.
